Masterpiece, Influential, Impeccable, Groundbreaking, HipHop. These are just some words that can be used to describe the magnitude of Black Moon - Enta Da Stage. Incase you don't know, this dropped back in one of the best years for hiphop, 1993, and pretty much blew anything else away at that time. Made up of MC Buckshot Shorty, Evil Dee & 5ft Excellerator Black Moon instantly became known for their Ruff, Rugged & Raw sound/attitude that would inevitably influence many upcoming MC's & groups, especially in the East. This is the epitome of that Early 90's New York Street sound, and is still, 13 years later, second to none. The single Who Got Da Props? was an utter classic, being rotated on ughh radio stations and street corners continuously...it was definitely the set off point from which Black Moon blew up. Then, with the track "How many Mc's" (Sampling the great KRS ONE) Black moon erased any doubts that anybody had for them, as Evil Dee hits us with one of the most satisfying and admired beats yet. Now, all of the tracks on 'Enta Da Stage' are 100% consistent, meaning the album contains absolutely no fillers whatsoever! resulting in a 14 track non stop journey through the gritty streets of NY. Now, if you consider yourself to be a fan of a hiphop, and have still not heard this, then you seriously need to just cop one before anybody realises. This is HIPHOP, from a time when everything being put out was consistently brilliant and innovative, Black Moon fortunately stepped up and blessed us with this classic. If you only ever have to own 5 hiphop albums, this has to be one!

Rough sound...great samples...good rappin'
The albums that came out after this one from this group didn't catch the expectations.
It took me very long to get my hands on all of the samples on this one.
